Tony has been working with Jarryd since 2011. He played a vital role in Jarryd's preparation leading up to his gold medal performance at the 2011 ParaPan American Games.
Tony is a Georgia state licensed massage therapist. He has been in private practice in Midtown since graduating in 2003 from the Clinical Sports Massage program at the Atlanta School of Massage. Tony specializes in deep tissue and nueromuscular sports massage. His clients range from beginning runners, high school athletes, local marathoners, to Olympians, business people and house moms. He also works with numerous ALTA, collegiate, and high school tennis players as well as golfers. Tony has served on the medical staff of AVP Beach volleyball Tour, IAAF World Junior Championships of Track & Field, and the Peachtree Road Race. As a 10 time marathoner and 3 time Boston Marathon qualifier, Tony understands the importance of optimal health and exercise. His total approach to bodywork is one that determines the root of an injury and addresses it through specific massage techniques, stretches, and self massage. He also believes that regular bodywork helps in preventing injuries. Tony's passion is trail running and racing. He spends much of his time on the trails and Sope Creek and various other trails near the Chattahoochee River. He lives in Smyrna with his wife, Kimberly, two cats, and a dog. |
