Dr. Glass at Georgia Sports Chiropractic, has been working with Jarryd Wallace since 2010 and has played a huge role in making sure that he is always ready to perform at the highest level. Over the past few years that they have worked together, Josh and Jarryd have not only become a great team, but also great friends.
Dr. Josh Glass is a second-generation sports chiropractor specializing in the treatment and prevention of athletic injures, and in the application of peaking and recovery programs for sports performance optimization. Exercise prescription and rehabilitation are also emphasized in his practice. He treats athletes of all levels, from the beginner to the professional and Olympian. Dr. Glass earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree, Cum Laude, from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA in 2001. He is a Board Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Dr. Glass earned a Bachelor of Science for the University of Georgia in Sports and Exercise Science in 1996. He was a member of the track and field and cross-country teams at UGA, earning multiple All SEC Academic awards, as well as being a varsity letterman. He is a past 1st Vice President of the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council. He is also the Sports Medicine Representative for the Athlete Advisory Committee for USA Track and Field and the Sports Medicine Committee Chair for USATF Georgia. Dr. Glass currently serves as the chiropractic consultant for Emory University and Georgia State University athletic departments, as well as the Georgia Technological Institute Track and Field Teams. Dr. Glass served as the USA Track and Field World Championships Team Chiropractor in Berlin, Germany in 2009 and in Daegu, South Korea in 2011. In December 2010 and February 2011, Dr. Glass served as a medical volunteer for two weeks at the US Olympic Training Centers in Colorado Springs and Chula Vista, California. Dr. Glass has served as a medical crew chief for the Atlanta Half Marathon and Marathon and the Peachtree Road Race since 2004. He is member of the Atlanta Track Club Board of Directors, serving a term from 2011 to 2013. He has been an event chiropractor for the USA Track and Field Outdoor National Track and Field Championships and Olympic Trials since 2004, and was the sports chiropractic coordinator for the event in 2010. He also served as the sports chiropractic coordinator for the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament in Atlanta from 2006 - 2009. From 2002 - 2004, Dr. Glass was the chiropractic consultant for the Atlanta Beat, the WUSA women's professional soccer team. Dr. Glass is the personal chiropractor for many of the USA's top Olympic and World Championships medalist, including Atlanta's Terrence Trammell, Dwight Phillips, Chaunte Lowe and Angelo Taylor. He collaborates care with his wife Collette Glass, who is a leading Atlanta sports massage therapist. He has traveled with athletes, providing care, nationally and internationally, including the Athens and Beijing Olympic Games. Dr. Glass has been active with running his entire life, competing and coaching in cross-country, track and field, and road racing. He can be found most days running on the Chattahoochee National Forest trails. He also participates in cycling, mountain biking, adventure racing and snow boarding. He lives in Marietta with his wife Collette and son Jarret. |
