Jan Ertl, Orthopedic Surgeon
|
Faced with one of the biggest decisions of Jarryd's life, cutting off his own leg, there would be no other man in the world he would have chosen than Dr. Jan Ertl. The humble confidence Ertl displayed when Jarryd first met him comforted Jarryd going into the procedure.
Their relationship has continued since the amputation and Ertl, along with his staff, have become as much a part of Jarryd's team as ever. Jarryd describes the love and support that Dr. Ertl has shown as "immeasurable" and he considers himself very lucky to call him a friend.
